yo!
my Photoshop seems to be FUBAR after I installed a new font pack. Could it be that the program can only handle a certain amount of installed fonts or something? Anybody have similar experiences? It is quite unnerving having that program tell me that "there's some sort of system or program error" that's "unrecoverable" and denies me choppage!
makes me a sad, pointy-bearded monkey

Never had that happen...
I would remove the font from your system and try again... if that doesn't work, trash your Photoshop preferences file and try again...
if that don't work.. reinstall photoshop?

You can have too many fonts for Windows to really work well, but that number is way up in the hundreds... Since Photoshop loads ALL the fonts when it starts up, it can take a lot of memory... and really slow things down.
Try and delete fonts that are duplicates with different names, and keep things down to less than 200. It will speed up ALL Windows activities, since your memory will be clear.
